NameNest is the baby-name library that respects your intelligence: real etymology, honest style notes, and curated lists that actually help you shortlist.

Most baby-name sites bury one sentence of meaning under ten ads and a "personality reading." NameNest does the opposite: documented origins, a clear style card (classic? nature? unisex?), similar names that share a sound-world, and pairing ideas — on every name page.

Our curated lists are written to be usable: every name on every list carries its one-line story, so you can shortlist from a single page and dive deeper only where it matters.

We are naming researchers, not psychics. We won't tell you a name makes your child "creative and adventurous" — we'll tell you where it came from, how it feels, and what it pairs with.

What makes NameNest different

• Your numbers never leave your browser. Every calculator on NameNest runs entirely on your device. We never see, store, or transmit the figures you enter — there are no accounts and no server-side processing of your inputs.
